The Creative Sound Blaster Ct4750 is a sound card by the company of the same name and part of its premium line. It was released in late 2018 and targets gamers, which is no surprise considering that Creative has been making products for this market since 1994. Let’s take a look at what the Ct4750 has to offer and see if you should consider buying it (or another product) for your computer or other device. The Ct4750 features Dolby Atmos support, which we'll get to in a moment; Wi-Fi connectivity; 7. 1 surround sound; an SPDIF input; and more. Let’s look at the specs in greater depth starting with the general. The chip on the Ct4750 that does most of the work is called its SB-Axx1 processor, which supports 32-bit/384kHz stereo output and 384kHz/32-bit DSD playback. A CS4398 DSP also comes onboard for additional processing duties. It’s worth pointing out that this is more than twice the resolution of CD quality (16-bit/44kHz). The company claims that this leads to a more accurate representation of sound when compared to other cards in its line. The original Creative Labs Ct4750 was released back in 1998 as an entry-level sound card. It was the first to use the SB-Axx1 chipset and came with a 5. 1 setup. This can be seen as a predecessor to the company’s current line of premium devices, so you can think of this as a kind of old-school replacement for a sound card like Creative’s UE7000 (a low-cost but still decent audio device). This card is often referred to by its model number: CT4750. The main difference between the standard and premium versions is that regular models lack Dolby Atmos support; their 7. 1 setups are not 5. 1 compatible. The premium version, however, gets the new Dolby Atmos standard and adds some other cool features, namely an SPDIF input for private listening on ultra-high-end home audio systems. The Ct4750 also comes with Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music from your smartphone or tablet. One downside is that it does not feature USB ports for its own DACs (which is odd considering the sound capabilities of this device), although this will probably not be an issue for most users. The Ct4750 is not the only premium sound card by Creative Labs, but it’s probably your best option if you are looking for Dolby Atmos support. This particular model is the better choice when compared to the Sound Blaster Xtreme Creative SB-Axx1 Surround 5. 1 Pro, which was released in 2001 and also has a 7. 1 configuration with 24-bit/192kHz stereo output and DSD/128 playback capabilities. It was made in order to provide users with a cheaper alternative to the company’s Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit PCI card that could play DVD audio, but lacked backward-compatibility with older formats like MP3 or WMA. cfa1e77820
